v3.31.0

A bigger update: players now belong to your organization instead of one server, so a new server starts with all your players and bans cover every server by default. Also: map tiles stay saved on your device, a clearer map, a tidier server list, and the PHP security release installed the day it came out.

Action needed

  • If your organization has more than one server: every new ban now covers all of its servers by default — also bans from Discord, the AI Companion, actions (server.ban_player), zones and warning escalations. Pick This server or pass orgWide = false in Lua to keep a ban on one server. Docs
  • If your actions use player variables on more than one server: a variable now holds on every server of your organization, so a reward claimed on one server counts as claimed on all of them. Where a player had the same variable on several servers, the value from the server they were last online on was kept. set_variable / get_variable take serverOnly = true for values that belong to one map. Docs
  • A casino self-exclusion now applies on every server of your organization and also covers betting. Existing casino denies became organization-wide. Lift one with Player actions → Lift casino self-exclusion; it is no longer done in the player's rights. Docs

Players belong to your organization

Players now belong to your organization, not to one server. A new server starts with every player of your organization in its player list — with their balance, linked devices, notes, organization-wide bans and whitelist — instead of an empty list. The Played here filter shows who was in game on that server. More in the docs

Good to know

  • Organization groups can grant admin and player rights on every server of your organization — one support team for all servers, next to per-server groups. Organization → Groups. Docs
  • Whitelist a player on one server or on all servers of your organization: Whitelist (this server) / Whitelist (all servers) in the player's actions. Docs
  • A player's display name, profile note and Hide my public profile choice now hold on every server of your organization. Docs
  • Map tiles stay saved on your device: areas of the map you have seen before open instantly instead of loading again — on your server's website, map.dzbot.de, the wiki and every map embedded with the dzbot map SDK.
  • On your listing page you can now pick up to 5 playstyle tags (was 3) and up to 2 spoken languages (was 5). The Discord invite field is gone: once your Discord server is connected, your page shows "Join Discord" pointing at <your-subdomain>.dzbot.de/discord. Docs
  • The server list on dzbot.de uses its rows better: each server's settings stand in one line under the description, so more servers fit on screen.
  • The dzbot.de home page now reads "Your DayZ server, in good hands."

Fixed

  • dzbot runs on PHP 8.4.27, the security release that fixes two critical PHP vulnerabilities, installed the day it came out.
  • The map looks right in many more places: lakes on Livonia and Sakhal instead of grey and white squares, the Rify ship in one piece, smooth contour lines, airfields with connected taxiways, footpaths and pipelines, streams on Chernarus, and power and telephone lines drawn clearly with their masts. Docs
  • A ban for all servers of an organization now removes the player's connected Discord role on every server, not only on the one the ban was issued from, and gives it back on all of them when the ban ends. Bans issued before this fix keep any role they missed; remove it by hand in Discord.
  • When a server's Nitrado service is cancelled, or the connected Nitrado account loses access to it, dzbot now marks the server inactive and drops the Nitrado connection instead of retrying silently. To use it again, reconnect it with the account that owns it on Nitrado and switch Active back on in the server settings.
  • In a support ticket's Discord channel, replies from dzbot Support show "dzbot Support" as their sender, and messages written in the web app appear under their author's Discord name.
  • The server list and the item wiki no longer call a server "much warmer" than vanilla just because its clock is stuck in summer. Docs
  • A player who visited a server's website before ever joining it in game now gets their "first seen" date and fires the "player created" automation on their first join there.
  • compare can no longer be chosen as a server's subdomain.
  • The public map at map.dzbot.de links to the server list again, and the docs and developer pages link to the server list, the map and the wiki.
