v3.20.0
A map and wiki update: the item database becomes its own site, wiki.dzbot.de, and your server map can show your server's own events, spawns and loot instead of the vanilla ones — once you switch on loot sharing. The public map moves to map.dzbot.de, and the AI Companion learns a few things.
Action needed
- Switch on loot sharing to show your server's own layers. Server maps keep showing the vanilla events,
spawns and loot until you set Settings → Map & Bases → Share loot settings to Members only or Public.
That also gives your web app a Wiki page. Only rough levels are shared, never the exact numbers from your
types.xml. Docs
Your server's events, spawns and loot on the map
With loot sharing on, your server's map shows heli crashes, convoys, police cars, wrecks, vehicle and boat spawns, contaminated zones, animal territories, player spawns and item spawns as they are on your server — read from your own mission files, including what your mods changed — instead of the vanilla ones. The reading updates once a week, after a map change, and when you press Recompute on the Map card of the mods page. Docs
The item wiki: wiki.dzbot.de
The item database is now its own site, wiki.dzbot.de, with the DayZ 1.30 items, Nasdara as a fourth map and new clothing stats (max wetness, sandstorm and gas protection). Pick a vanilla map or your own server at the top — the same choice as on map.dzbot.de — and every item shows how rare it is there, where it is found and, on a server, what that server boosted or reduced compared to vanilla, plus which shop packages contain it. Docs
Good to know
- The free public DayZ map now lives at its own address, map.dzbot.de. Old dzbot.de/map links, shared views and group invite links keep working and forward there. Docs
- dzbot.de's top menu is now Bot · Map · Wiki; the former menu items sit in a second row on the bot pages.
- The map's item search shows how rare an item is instead of a count and links to its wiki page.
- On the map, vehicle and boat spawns, wrecks and game animals fold open, so you can show single types — say only the M3S trucks or only the red deer — instead of all of them. The layer list hides categories the map has no points for. Docs
- The map opens filling the whole screen instead of leaving dark edges around it.
- On the server map, a group of players shown as one picture with "+N" lists everyone in it when you tap it — on a computer, hovering is enough. Docs
- Small forms (add a place, create a group, assign a mod, send a DM, pin to a ticket, …) open as a compact panel right at the button on desktop instead of a full-height side drawer.
- The player list has an Accounts / People switch. People shows one row per person: alts that share a device with
a linked account fold into it (
+N alts), so sorting by balance ranks real people. Needsplayers.see_alt_accounts. Docs - The AI Companion counts people instead of accounts when it lists players, and names a person's alts instead of reporting them as separate players.
- The AI Companion can tell you why a player cannot see your Discord channels: whether they are on the server, which of dzbot's roles are missing and why, and which role would unlock the hidden channels. Docs
- Actions:
player.listtakesgroup_by_person = truefor one entry per person, with the person's other accounts underalts. Docs - New marketplace action Device Switch Review Automation: ban, DM, ticket, close and channel report for
second accounts caught by a device switch, by default only on strong matches; the
review_openedevent now lists whatdetailsholds for each review type. Docs - Copying a shop from another server asks what to do with each group the target server doesn't have — carry the restriction over to one of its groups, copy those items as unavailable, or leave them out — and shows a progress bar while it copies. Docs
Fixed
- A ban the AI Companion proposes from a ticket now links that ticket.
- The AI Companion no longer jumps to an action when you only ask how something works; it explains the steps and offers to do them.
- When the AI Companion runs out of steps on a long task, it answers with what it found so far instead of stopping with an error. Reply "continue" and it picks up from there.
- The AI Companion no longer reports several accounts of the same person as players tied for first place.
- "Transfer mods" no longer fails when one of dzbot's add-ons (e.g. zone point spawns) cannot read a malformed server file; the transfer goes through and only that add-on is skipped.
