v3.3.0
A big AI Companion update: connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps to dzbot, let the Companion act directly instead of asking every time, and switch to a stronger model for the tricky cases.
Connect your own AI app over MCP
Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps can work with dzbot directly. Add https://mcp.dzbot.de as an MCP
server or connector in the app, log in with Discord and choose "Read only" or "Read and write". The
app gets the AI Companion's tools on every server you have access to, with exactly your rights, and
every action shows as "via MCP" in the audit trail. Your connections are listed under Profile →
Connected apps, where you can disconnect them. No AI credit is used — the app brings its own model.

Ask or Execute
A switch under the message box sets a Companion session to Ask (every change waits for your approval, as before) or Execute (changes run right away, and you get a card for each one so you can correct it). "Use for new sessions" makes your choice the default, which Discord sessions use too. Rejecting a proposal can now carry a comment ("wrong decimal place") — the Companion reads it and drafts a corrected proposal. Every proposal uses one clear card with the fields, the text or a diff, and a link to the object. Docs
Efficient or Smart
The Companion has a model switch: Efficient (fast and inexpensive, as before) or Smart for tricky cases, accounting questions and long investigations. Smart uses about 20× as much AI credit per message; the ? next to the switch shows the current factor. Switch any time under the message box. Docs
Good to know
- In Ask mode, enabling or disabling an action and pausing a scheduled task now wait for your approval like every other change. Docs
- Only the Nitrado account that owns a server can connect or reconnect it to dzbot — an account that was only given access can lack rights dzbot needs, such as FTP for mods. Connected servers keep working. Docs
- Players who opted out of dzbot DMs no longer get ticket DMs either (ticket closed, reopened, reminder to respond).
