v3.0.0

Our biggest update yet: dzbot has a completely new look, a much more capable AI Companion and admin search, a setup wizard and a free trial for new servers — and new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, effective 8 October 2026.

Action needed

  • Set up payment for servers without a subscription. When a trial or a subscription ends without payment, the server is now paused: admin area, shop and Discord features stop, logs keep being collected, nothing is deleted, and dzbot's mods are taken off the game server until payment is set up. Servers that have been running without a subscription are paused from this release on. Payment is set up under Server Admin → Billing. Docs
  • Set a base alarm price. A server that never set one (the default "−1") no longer lets players buy base alarms. Set 0 to keep them free; running alarms are not affected.
  • Bots reading the logs API: it no longer returns the list of all players (availablePlayers); look players up through the player search instead.

A new look

The whole web app — shop, admin area, creator and platform tools — now looks like a game menu and is built for phones first. Pages share one layout: actions sit top right on desktop and at the bottom of the screen on phones, forms save where they end, new things are created in a side drawer, and tabs and lists look the same everywhere. Server owners can pick a colour palette for their player portal under Settings → General. The settings page is rebuilt with a search, twelve clear areas and previews of what a setting changes. Settings now save only what you changed, from one save bar for the whole page.

One field for search and the Companion

At the top of the admin area, one field searches and asks: type a name, an id or a code to find it, or ask a question and send it to the AI Companion. On phones it slides down from the top. The account menu (name, balance, language) sits next to it.

An admin search that finds everything

The admin search now finds everything an admin works with: players by Discord id, Steam64, DayZ id, game name or former names, tickets by participant or channel link, and bases, bans, reviews, events, actions, scheduled tasks, log requests, places, mods, notes, bounties, bets, subscriptions, bookings and inventory — exact matches first. Each result opens the entry directly.

The AI Companion works in front of you

A Working box lists every lookup while the Companion runs, the answer appears word by word, and the cost counts up as it goes; when it is done, the box folds into a short line you can open again. A Stop button ends a turn, and you can type your next question while it works. The panel has a new look, stays open when you click next to it, and an open session is part of the page address, so a reload or a shared link brings it back. Docs

The Companion knows your page

On every admin page, the Companion knows what you have open — an order, a faction, a bounty, a restriction, a booking, a setting — so "what is going on with this?" needs no id. In Discord, the order, faction, bounty, bet, event, base alarm, booking and rules dossiers and the player card have a "🤖 Ask AI" button that starts a private Companion thread about exactly that. Docs

Setup wizard and free trial

A new setup wizard walks new server owners through the essentials one screen at a time — server name, address, timezone, in-game name, then optionally Discord, a ready-made starter shop and the DayZ++ migration — each with a live preview. Skipped steps stay as a checklist on the dashboard; open it any time under Server Admin → Server-Setup. New servers can try dzbot for up to 14 days without entering payment details. Docs

Casino self-exclusion

Players can lock themselves out of the casino: Exclude myself below every casino game lets them tick single games or the entire casino. They cannot undo it; staff lift it on the player's page under Rights & groups. Every self-exclusion shows in the player's audit trail. The bookmaker is not included. Docs

Good to know

  • Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy changed, effective 8 October 2026: the free trial and when a server is paused, €1 of included AI Companion credit per month (once during the trial), deletion of servers 30 days after losing their Nitrado link without a subscription, and log import for paused servers so their history has no gap.
  • A server that stays disconnected from Nitrado for 30 days and has no active subscription is deleted, with its players, logs and settings. Reconnecting within the 30 days keeps it. Docs
  • Tickets and AI Companion conversations are deleted 12 months after their last activity. Discord joins that could not be matched to an invite are deleted after 30 days unless assigned to a referral. Docs
  • Players can only send money to accounts someone has claimed; the recipient list no longer shows unclaimed accounts.
  • The bookmaker's maximum stake now applies to a player's total on a bet, across all outcomes; the stake buttons scale with the limit.
  • Three switches (rule acceptance, page visibility) moved into the settings page and need the settings right.
  • The AI Companion only reads a linked Discord channel if the asking staff member can see that channel themselves.
  • The admin challenges list shows current seasons by default, with a Current/Past switch.
  • Clicking a faction on the factions page shows its full member list to every player; faction flags are shown whole.
  • Finished and cancelled events can be deleted from their Settings tab; bookings, payouts and bets stay. Docs
  • Links like https://dzbot.de/go/admin/settings open that page on your own server.
  • Shop templates come with English and German names. Docs
  • The menu uses a lighter, narrower font.
  • Smart Whitelist and player position verification are gone: linking an account is always just the in-game name. Docs
  • Many more places show German text and number formats in the German interface; the language switch is a simple DE | EN toggle.

Fixed

  • Servers outside Germany (or with a timezone setting that did not match their Nitrado location) had every log time shifted by whole hours. dzbot now reads the clock from the game server's own logs; the history of affected servers is moved to the right times too. Docs
  • Quieter servers sometimes stored game events twice, so stats, leaderboards and some payouts counted double. The copies are removed, and stats of affected servers drop to the right numbers.
  • A bet entry refunded on its own no longer counts toward the pot and is not paid out or refunded twice.
  • Log requests limited to certain players show those players' events again.
  • Switching between scheduled tasks no longer keeps the previous task's values in the form.
  • Forms no longer claim "1 unsaved change" right after loading; the organisation address keeps its line breaks.
  • The bookmaker's total pot counts bets waiting for their result; faction order and treasury tabs show an error instead of an empty list when they cannot load.
