v3.21.0

A wiki and raid-protection update: the wiki gets 16 player guides, a disease doctor and an overview of how your server plays, you can write guides for your own server, and Raid Autoban now bans the whole raid group — plus a new action for explosive raids. The map lets you show single players and bases and remembers how you left it.

Action needed

  • If you run Raid Autoban: accomplice bans are on now. After this update the action also bans everyone near a raid who does not belong to the raided base, with the same ban length and scope as the raider's. Bystanders near a raid can be caught too; the report lists everyone who was banned with the raider so you can lift wrong bans. Switch Ban accomplices off in the action to ban only the raider, or change radius and minutes. Docs

Raid Autoban catches the whole group — and explosive raids

Raid Autoban now punishes the whole raid group, not just the player whose chainsaw hit the wall: everyone who was near the raid and does not belong to the raided base (its builders, their other accounts, their faction and allied factions) is banned with the raider. The new Explosive Raid Autoban catches raids with plastic or improvised explosives, which DayZ never logs as a destroyed wall — it reacts to the charge being placed inside somebody else's base. Install it from Actions → Marketplace. Docs

Guides in the wiki

The wiki now has guides: 16 of them on diseases, injuries, food and water, temperature, fire and cooking, hunting, the infected, staying hidden, base building, vehicles, weapons, crafting, loot tiers and more — with the numbers from DayZ 1.30's own game files, and every item shown with how rare it is on your server. "Sick? Find out what you have" asks what you notice and names the disease, its stage and the cure — including the new Badlands diseases heat stroke, silicosis and irritated eyes. And you can write guides for your own server under Admin → Wiki Guides, with item cards via [[item]]. Docs · Docs

Your server's wiki opens on an overview

Your server's wiki now opens on an overview of how your server plays: how long a day and a night last in real time, the temperature over the year, weather, 1st/3rd person, crosshair, stamina, logout timer, base building rules, and whether there are more or fewer zombies, animals, vehicles and heli crashes than in vanilla. Anything you set differently from vanilla shows the vanilla value next to it. It fills in by itself from your server's files and Nitrado settings once you share your loot settings. Docs

Good to know

  • The server map lets you show single players and bases instead of all of them: open Players or Bases in the layer panel with the arrow and pick the ones you want (switch the layer off first to see only those). Your picks stay on top of the list (also while offline), and long lists can be filtered by name. Bounty targets and faction members work the same. The map search now also finds players and bases by name and jumps to them. Docs
  • Every map now opens the way you left it — view, layers, picked players and bases, base size — per map and server. Signed in, it follows your account to every device; as a guest it is kept in your browser. A shared link still shows exactly what it says. Docs
  • New Lua functions for your own actions: map.players_near (who was around a spot in a time window), map.base_at (the base at a spot with its builders), player.linked_accounts (a player's other accounts), and player.get_faction now lists the faction's allies. Docs
  • The item list moved to Wiki → Items: categories and filters sit in a column beside the list (a Filters button on phones) and the item cards show their pictures large. Docs
  • Item pages no longer repeat the server's one-line summary ("colder than vanilla · weapons boosted …"); that now lives on the overview.
  • wiki.dzbot.de opens on an overview of the chosen map or server; the item list is at wiki.dzbot.de/items.

Fixed

  • Users were often logged out of the website and the admin area, several times a day, after their computer woke from sleep or their network changed. A failed connection while renewing the login no longer ends the session; only an expired or revoked login does.
  • M4A1 (black) shows the rifle again instead of a UN helmet, and Cable Reel no longer shows the power generator — in item pickers and the item database.
