v3.12.0
A big update for factions and Discord: alliances, ranks with automatic wages, bounties on whole factions, 13 ready-made Discord feeds you design yourself, voice channel counters, map pictures in action messages and public player profiles. Plus new gameplay mods, an easier Stripe setup for player payments and a batch of setup fixes.
Action needed
- To let logged-in players open public profiles, grant Open public player profiles
(
player.public_profiles.access) under Groups. Groups with theplayer.*wildcard already have it; set it to Deny there if you want profiles closed. Guests are controlled by a separate switch (see below). Docs - Groups that only hold single Discord setting rights need Voice channel counters granted under Groups to change them; groups that can edit all settings or all Discord settings already can. Docs
Faction alliances
Factions can form alliances. A member with the new faction right Manage alliances (and every faction
admin) asks another faction on the faction page's Alliances tab or with /faction in Discord; the
other faction gets a Discord message with Accept and Decline. Allies show on both faction pages, in the
faction list and in Discord, and a kill between allies is marked Alliance violation in the kill
feed, the Discord kill feed post, the Log Explorer and for actions (data.flags.alliance_violation).
You can switch alliances off under Settings → Factions → Allow faction alliances (on by default).
Docs
Faction ranks and wages
Factions can define ranks on the new Ranks tab: a set of faction rights, a daily withdraw limit (overridable per member) and a wage per day or week, paid automatically from the treasury to rank holders who were on the server in that period. If the treasury cannot cover every wage of a period, nobody is paid and the leaders get a Discord message. Members keep their own rights on top of their rank; factions without ranks work as before. Docs
Bounties on whole factions
Players can now put a bounty on a faction instead of a single player — on the Bounties page (switch
"Bounty on: Faction"), with /bounty in Discord, or from an action (bounty.create with
target_faction). The first player to kill any member collects the whole bounty; members — and players
with an alt in the faction — can't collect it or place one on their own faction. Hitmen see every
member's last position, and deleting a faction refunds its open bounties. To announce them, install the
new marketplace actions "Faction Bounty Placed Channel Announcement" and "Faction Bounty Placed DM
Members".
Docs
Discord feeds you design yourself
13 new ready-made actions in the action marketplace post logins, logouts, base building, placements, PvE deaths (infected, animals and environment, bleeding out, drowning, suicide), long-range kills, kill streaks, a kill feed with kill flags and an admin kill feed with positions and map links to a Discord channel of your choice. Each comes with a filter and a Discord post you edit with a live preview. The built-in kill feed stays as it is. Docs
Filters without code
Actions can now offer an event filter in their settings: pick zones (inside or outside), a distance
range, weapons or items, kill flags like headshot or team kill, and the faction, dzbot group or player
variables of the players involved. Lua scripts check it with filter.matches(config.filter, data).
Docs
Discord posts with a live preview
A new settings field lets you design a Discord embed — title, text, colour, fields to switch on and off
and reorder, footer, thumbnail — with placeholders from the event and a preview of how Discord will show
it. Scripts send it with discord.send_embed(channel, config.embed, data).
Docs
Map pictures in Discord messages
Actions can now post map pictures to Discord. map.image({ points = {...}, route = {...} }) draws the
server's map (Chernarus, Livonia, Sakhal or Nasdara) around one or more positions, with labelled,
coloured markers and an optional route. Pass the result as the third argument of
discord.send_to_channel or discord.send_to_player, and the picture is attached, or shown inside the
message's embed. The docs have examples for kill locations, bounty sightings, base alarms and routes.
Docs
Voice channel counters
Show live numbers of your server as the names of locked voice channels in your Discord — players
online/slots, kills, deaths, longest kill and best kill streak of the day, open bounties, the most
players at once today and how many players were on today. Switch them on under Settings → Discord →
Voice channel counters and change the channel names if you like ({value} marks the number). dzbot
creates the channels in a category of their own and refreshes them every six minutes; "today" follows
your server's time zone.
Docs
Public player profiles
Your server website can show a profile page for every player — PvP kills, K/D, kill streaks, longest
kill, playtime with a weekday-by-hour chart, favourite weapons, rivals, faction, Discord avatar,
leaderboard ranks and unlocked achievements. Never positions, kill locations, balance or alt accounts.
Names on the leaderboard link to the profile, and a new Players page searches by name. Off by
default: switch on Show public player profiles to guests under Settings → Portal & App → Guest
pages, and/or grant player.public_profiles.access to player groups. Every player can hide their own
profile from their Statistics page.

New gameplay mods
New free mods in the mod marketplace: Hit Indicator (Hitmarker) turns the hit indicator off or picks its look, color, duration and accuracy (plus the red screen flash), and Night Lighting gives bright, dark or Sakhal-style nights and switches the light around players. Enhanced Building Placement is now Build Anywhere, with each group of building checks switchable on its own. Install them under Admin → Mods; schedule them for raid weekends or darker weekend nights in the Scheduler. Docs
Easier setup for player payments
Before Stripe's form opens, dzbot now says what Stripe will ask for (ID and a live selfie with your phone, tax ID, IBAN, a support phone number, with a tip to keep a private number off your players' receipts). Stripe's form comes pre-filled with your support email and a product description in your language. Once Stripe approves the account, the Monetization page shows "Your players can pay now" with the support page link, you get a Discord DM, and a card explains what to do if Stripe reviews your account later. Docs
Good to know
- If Synchronize player lists is off on your server, the admin area now shows a warning: bans, whitelist and priority entries you manage in dzbot never reach your game server while it is off. Switching it on is safe — dzbot first takes over every ban, whitelist and priority entry that so far only exists on Nitrado, then keeps the lists in sync. Docs
- Faction bounties fire the new action event
faction_bounty_placed, notbounty_placed— an existing bounty announcement action does not post them; install the new faction announcement action next to it. Docs - While
cfggameplay.jsonis on — dzbot keeps it on for every server — the gameplay switches in the Nitrado web interface (base and container damage, night lighting, personal light) have no effect. Use the gameplay mods instead. Docs - Auto-start (Settings → Server, added in the last release) has been removed again. It was off by default and no server had switched it on, so nothing changes for you. Restarts dzbot runs itself are still checked and retried when Nitrado does not bring the server back. Docs
- Newly connected servers start with player list sync switched on, and bans already on Nitrado are imported as permanent bans. Docs
- New action event
bounty_completed: fires whenever a kill collects a bounty (player or faction), with hitman, victim, payout and target. Docs bounty.list()returnstarget_faction/target_faction_id; the AI Companion can search bounties by faction.- The admin faction page shows each member's rank and the faction's alliances.
- The "Event Filter" and "Discord Embed" field types are offered only for actions, not in mod configurations.
- Scheduler "Change mod configuration": mod settings with fixed choices show a dropdown instead of a text box.
- The log and your actions get only the first "subscription spawn failed" per restart, not one every minute and a half while the spot stays blocked. Docs
- The bot's invite link now also asks for the Connect permission, which the voice counters need to lock their channels.
- Billing DMs, Checkout and subscription descriptions now use your server's chosen name instead of the long Nitrado name.
- dzbot invoices now name the server they are for (from the next renewal) and come in your language.
- The "install this app" prompt no longer appears in the admin area; players still see it.
- The start shop in the setup wizard imports in seconds instead of minutes.
- The bot's greeting in your Discord no longer posts an admin link for everyone to see.
- When dzbot removes an abandoned server, the bot also leaves its Discord server, unless another of your servers still uses it.
- New pages on dzbot.de for factions, bounties, base alarms, the casino, tickets, the AI Companion, alt-account detection, events, leaderboards, the live map, mods and automation, and restarts; one page each for Chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal; and one-to-one comparisons with Law's KillFeed, CFTools Cloud and Legion Killfeed — all in English and German, and already covering this release's features. Docs
Fixed
- Connecting a server imports the existing Nitrado ban list again. Since March, only whitelist and priority entries were taken over, so switching sync on could drop bans that only lived on Nitrado.
- A subscription refund now covers only the restart whose session actually failed to spawn it. A failure the old session reported just before a restart could refund the next restart's charge, even when the next spawn worked. The subscription's charge history also no longer lists "free" restarts that never happened, which mod installs used to add mid-session.
- An
<image>or<thumbnail>inside an<embed>in an action message no longer makes the message fail to send; the picture now shows. - A dropped connection showed a raw "Failed to fetch" under buttons; it now says the connection was lost and to try again.
- Pages opened scrolled down to where the previous page had been.
- The setup wizard's Discord preview showed the bot as "dzbot" instead of "DayZ Server", and the finish page asked you to set up Discord channels right after creating them.
- Signing in could send you back to an older page instead of the one you were on.
- The sign-in and "connect your server" pages had English tab titles in German.
