v3.30.0

A big update: servers that don't pay keep running on the new dzbot Free instead of being paused, every dzbot server is now on the public server list at dzbot.de/servers, and you can talk to the dzbot team right from your admin with dzbot Support. On top of that, a Military loot layer on the map and a new home for developers.

Action needed

  • Servers are listed on dzbot.de/servers by default. To leave the list, switch off Listed on dzbot.de/servers under Admin → Listing. To be found by the settings players search for, set Settings → Map & Bases → Share loot settings to Public. Docs
  • If you have custom admin groups that manage settings without the admin.* wildcard: check that they got admin.listing.view / admin.listing.edit under Groups. dzbot grants them automatically after the release. Docs
  • If your organization's co-admins don't have full organization access and should talk to us: give them View support tickets with dzbot and Open and answer support tickets with dzbot under Organization → Groups. Organization admins already have both. Docs
  • If your trial or subscription has ended and your server moves to dzbot Free: player subscriptions stop renewing there, and restart-billed ones end right away. Your players get a DM.

dzbot Free

A server that doesn't pay is no longer paused. After the 14-day Pro trial it moves to dzbot Free and keeps its website, wiki and map with its own data, the leaderboard, killfeed, rules and custom pages. Everything that manages the server or acts in the game or on Discord — shop, tickets, moderation, automations, events, factions, the Discord bot, the AI Companion — is dzbot Pro. Nothing you set up during the trial is deleted; with Pro it is all back. More in the docs

The public server list

Every dzbot server is now on the public server list at dzbot.de/servers. Players search it by the settings they care about — must-haves and nice-to-haves, with a match percentage — and compare servers side by side with vanilla. Design your server's own page under Admin → Listing: description, tags, languages, Discord invite, banner and a page of your own. A server that shares its loot settings is found by them. dzbot Support

You can now talk to the dzbot team right in your admin: Organization → dzbot Support. Open a ticket about one of your servers or in general and answer there or in our Discord — and write in your own language, we translate both ways. A banner and a counter show when we are waiting for your answer. More in the docs

Good to know

  • The developer API docs moved to developers.dzbot.de/api — getting started, lists and search, the migration table for the removed list endpoints and the interactive reference in one place. apidocs.dzbot.de is gone; its reference is now developers.dzbot.de/api/reference. Docs
  • When the AI Companion can't help — no answer in the docs or your data, something that looks like a bug, or a feature dzbot doesn't have — it offers to open a dzbot Support ticket for you and writes down what it found. For a feature request it first asks a few short questions. It can also read your support tickets and our answers, reply, and close or reopen them. Docs
  • dzbot Support answers are prepared with AI: an assistant on our side looks into the case first and drafts the answer; a person from the dzbot team releases every answer and every change to your server. Docs
  • Paying and trial organizations are answered first.
  • New map layer Military loot: every building that can spawn military loot — not only barracks and tents, but also the workshops, offices and other buildings inside a military area, and military crates and wrecks elsewhere. Uses your server's own mission files where the server shares them. Docs
  • Nasdara's water trucks are now their own map layer, Water trucks, instead of being hidden under Wrecks. Docs
  • The server list's search sits in a panel next to the results, with presets (Hardcore, Relaxed, Geared up fast, Zombie hordes); every row shows the same six settings, your wishes first, in green or red. Docs
  • The server list has a region filter that starts with the visitor's region; each server shows the country of its datacenter and an estimated ping. Docs
  • Each server on the list shows when people play: average players per hour of the day over the last week.
  • The list shows a server's name from the game's own server browser and finds it by that name.
  • The Pro trial reminders name what the server would lose, and the billing page compares Free and Pro.
  • The fresh-wipe badge and filter on the server list come from the stats wipe date; a wipe date in the future is rejected now.
  • A guide for players on searching the server list. Docs
  • developers.dzbot.de is now "dzbot dev", the home for everything developers build on dzbot: the map SDK and the API, linked as "Dev" from the dzbot.de menu, the map and the docs.
  • A new logo across dzbot: DZ plus the part you are on — DZBOT, DZMAP, DZWIKI, DZDEV, DZDOCS.

Fixed

  • Markers, zones and points of interest stay on the map while you drag it again, instead of trailing behind, and map tiles show up while panning instead of only after the map stops.
  • AI apps connected over MCP (Claude, ChatGPT) can now reply to tickets — the reply tool was missing from the MCP toolset. Docs
