Features

dzbot turns your Nitrado DayZ server into a complete community platform: kill feed, shop, factions, casino, events, support tickets, moderation and a full Discord bot, all run from one admin panel.

It works the same on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2, as long as the server is hosted by Nitrado. dzbot works from the outside, through the Nitrado API and your server's logs, so nothing is installed on the game server. It runs on Chernarus, Livonia, Sakhal and Nasdara (Nasdara is not on Switch 2 yet). Every server gets its own website at <your-name>.dzbot.de, where players log in with Discord, shop, check the map and run their faction, and where your staff manage the server.

Ready to get started? Connect your server in minutes. Coming from DayZ++? Bring your linked players and balances with you.

Kill Feed & Damage Feedโ€‹

A live combat log on your website and in Discord that keeps your community talking.

  • Kill feed with killer, victim, weapon and distance
  • Every kill marked with its context: headshot, double/triple/quad kill, revenge, trade, team kill, alliance violation and spawn kill โ€” in the feed, in Discord, in the Log Explorer and for actions
  • Damage feed with attacker, target, body part and damage
  • Posted automatically to the Discord kill feed and damage feed channels you choose
  • More feeds as ready-made actions you design yourself: logins and logouts, a build and placement log with map links, PvE deaths (infected, animals, mines, bleeding out, drowning, suicide), long-range kills, kill streaks, a kill feed with flags and an admin kill feed with positions โ€” each with its own channel, filter and Discord post
  • Optional map position on every entry, only for the players you allow to see it
  • Can be opened by visitors without logging in (positions are never shown to guests)

Discord Bot & Commandsโ€‹

dzbot is a full Discord bot. Players handle everyday things without opening the website, and your staff can moderate from Discord.

  • /link connects a Discord account to the in-game player. After that, one command per area โ€” /bank, /shop, /orders, /places, /bet, /bounty, /faction, /base-alarm, /event, /rules, /ticket โ€” with private answers and the same rights as on the website
  • Staff tools: right-click a member to look up the player and whitelist, warn, ban, add notes, give money or send a DM; /logs searches the game logs in a private thread; /server shows who is online, restarts the server and flips switches
  • Roles are handed out and taken away automatically: linked, online, rules accepted, faction members and leaders, event winners
  • In-game names as Discord nicknames, optionally with the faction tag
  • Channels that keep themselves up to date: online players, and a leaderboard refreshed every 15 minutes
  • Voice channel counters: live numbers such as players online, kills today, the longest kill of the day or open bounties as the names of locked voice channels
  • English and German, following each player's Discord language

Leaderboards, Statistics & Achievementsโ€‹

Turn gameplay into competition, and reward players for the goals you set.

  • Rankings for PvP kills, K/D, kill streak, longest kill, base building, vehicle hits, playtime and four casino boards โ€” this week, this month or all-time
  • Alt accounts count as one entry, and banned players drop out of every ranking
  • A personal statistics page with rank, gap to the next rank and breakdowns by period, account, weapon and more
  • Opt-in public player profiles on the server website, linked from the leaderboard and searchable by name: stats, favourite weapons, rivals, playtime pattern and achievements โ€” never positions, money or alt accounts, and every player can hide theirs
  • Reset every statistic after a wipe by moving the stats wipe date
  • Achievements: challenges such as "50 kills" or "10 hours online", grouped into seasons, that pay out currency or a Discord role

Learn more about leaderboards ยท Player statistics ยท Public player profiles

Player Shop & Economyโ€‹

Give your players a real in-game economy. They order on the website, and dzbot delivers the items at the next restart, exactly where the player wants them.

  • Item catalog with categories, search and favourites, plus visibility and order limits per player group
  • Delivery to any spot on the map: picked on the map (the height is filled in for you), from a saved place, or at the player's last emote position in-game
  • Orders can wait for a later restart, up to seven days ahead, so players are online when their items arrive
  • Spawn subscriptions for players and factions, applied at every restart. If one cannot spawn, that restart's charge is refunded automatically
  • Pay from your own balance or the faction treasury, send money to other players, redeem coupons
  • Self-service cancellation for players; refunds, redelivery and free items for staff

Learn more about the shop system ยท Shop for players ยท Coordinate picker ยท Transactions

Factions & Teamsโ€‹

Let your players form teams with shared money, shared places and their own rights.

  • Faction identity: name, color, armband, flag and a short tag that can show behind every member's name, on the website and in Discord
  • Players join by invite and accept it in Discord or on the website
  • Shared treasury with deposit and withdrawal rights per member, and shop orders paid by the faction
  • Ranks that bundle rights with a daily withdraw limit and an automatic daily or weekly wage from the treasury for members who played
  • Named alliances of two or more factions, founded and voted on on the website or in Discord: allies do not trigger each other's base alarms, cannot collect bounties on each other, and kills between allies show up as alliance violations on the faction page, with optional Discord DMs
  • Optional private Discord channels for every faction and every alliance, kept in step by dzbot
  • Shared places, item spawns, base alarms and subscriptions
  • Members can choose to share their location with their faction on the map, and with allied factions too
  • Discord roles for members and leaders, kept in sync automatically

Learn more about factions ยท Factions for players

Bounty Systemโ€‹

Add PvP objectives with a built-in bounty economy. Players put money on a target, and hitmen collect the payout.

  • Players place bounties and pay the amount up front
  • Hitmen see open bounties with the target's last known position on the map and in Discord
  • A bounty can cover every known account of the target, not just one
  • Bounties on a whole faction: the first kill of any member collects the pot, members cannot collect it
  • Payouts are credited on the kill, with a configurable hitman cut and minimum bounty
  • Place and withdraw bounties from Discord with /bounty
  • Automatic bounties: the Auto Bounty marketplace action puts a server-funded bounty on players who kill inside the zones you pick

Learn more about bounties ยท Bounties for players

Base Alarmsโ€‹

Keep players informed when someone enters their territory, even while they are offline.

  • A watch radius around any map coordinate, triggered by players who are not allowed there
  • Alerts by Discord DM, or into a dedicated channel the bot manages
  • Personal alarms and faction alarms, with extra recipients
  • See who was near the base in the last 30 days; switch alarms on and off or mute them in Discord
  • Free, or paid by the hour from the player's balance or the faction treasury

Learn more about base alarms ยท Base alarms for players

Live Mapโ€‹

A map of your server that gives players and staff situational awareness at a glance.

  • Online players, bases, No-Build and No-Kill zones, bounty targets and base alarms with intruders highlighted
  • Fellow faction members who share their location
  • Every layer behind its own right, so each group sees only what it should
  • Filter bases by size and hide or show single points of interest
  • Follows your server's map, including when you switch maps

Learn more about the map

Basesโ€‹

A picture of where your map is actually being settled, derived from the log stream โ€” nobody maintains a list.

  • Every built compound as a place, with size, status and contributors
  • Size in five bands, calibrated against your own server's distribution
  • Decay estimated from your server's types.xml, so you see what may be torn down or taken over
  • Optional clean-up queue for staff who drive out and record what they found
  • Feeds the map: dot size follows substance, decaying bases are dimmed

Learn more about bases

Casinoโ€‹

Give your economy a fun outlet and a natural currency sink. The casino runs on in-game currency only โ€” no real-money stakes or payouts.

  • Slot machine with a server-wide jackpot, daily free games and auto spin
  • Wheel of Fortune with your own prizes: money, items, free base alarms, free games or custom wins
  • Blackjack, and a roulette table that everyone on the server plays together
  • Poker: No-Limit Texas Hold'em against other players, with private tables and Sit & Go tournaments
  • Voice and text chat at the roulette and poker tables, if you switch it on
  • Daily limits, self-exclusion for players, and a separate right for every game

Learn more about the casino ยท Poker ยท Roulette ยท Wheel of Fortune ยท Voice and text chat

Events, Tournaments & Betsโ€‹

Run tournaments, races and team events with sign-up, brackets and prize money โ€” and let players bet on the outcome.

  • Events built from knockout brackets, races with placements and points phases, for solo players or teams
  • Entry fees, a prize pot and a prize table with fixed amounts, pot shares and Discord winner roles
  • Draws, check-in, armband colours or items to tell the sides apart, results, and templates for your regular events
  • Zone exemptions, so a boxing match in the safe zone does not set off your ban rules
  • An event channel and a scheduled event in Discord, announcements and DMs to participants; events can be public to advertise your server
  • Bookmaker: players and staff open bets on anything, including event matches, and settle them with one click

Learn more about events ยท Events for players ยท Bets in Discord

Bans, Restrictions & Zonesโ€‹

More than a ban list: decide what happens when a rule is broken, and let dzbot escalate on its own.

  • Bans with a start and an end, for one player, all of their alt accounts or a whole faction โ€” synced to Nitrado, and optionally across every server of your organization
  • Event restrictions that react to kills, deaths, chat or any other log event, optionally only inside or outside a zone you draw
  • Escalation: warning DM, post in a staff channel, balance penalty or automatic ban โ€” on every violation, on the Nth, or from the Nth onward
  • Every restriction is a case with a history, notes and linked tickets; ending one always takes a reason
  • Warnings from the website or Discord, with an expiry you choose, a DM to the player and an optional Discord timeout; warning stages ban automatically ("3 warnings โ†’ 1 day, 5 โ†’ 7 days, 7 โ†’ permanent"), and restrictions can count each violation as a warning
  • No-Build and No-Kill zones drawn on the map with a polygon editor
  • Every log event with a position knows which of your zones it happened in โ€” actions react to it with a zone picker

Learn more about restrictions ยท Restrictions in the admin panel ยท Zones

Multi-Account Detection & Reviewsโ€‹

dzbot spots alt accounts and ban evasion and puts each finding in a review queue for your team to judge.

  • Accounts linked to the same game device โ€” by a moderator, or from older DayZ builds that still reported a device id โ€” count as one player: bans and the whitelist can cover all of them
  • Reviews for accounts sharing a browser or an internet address, freshly created Discord accounts, accounts lent to someone else (two accounts of one device online at the same moment) and account switches on PlayStation and Xbox
  • Each case drawn as a graph of the accounts and the evidence that connects them
  • Ready-made actions that ban, send a DM, open a ticket or post to Discord when a review opens
  • One verdict counts on every server of your organization
  • A Cheating index on every player that spots recoil-compensation devices like Cronus Zen or XIM from how often they land hit series at distance, across all their accounts โ€” with its own page that ranks your players against normal players and players banned for cheating, and shows the hit series as evidence

Learn more about reviews ยท Cheating index ยท Player observability

Investigations & Player Observabilityโ€‹

Give your staff the tools to investigate incidents and handle support cases faster.

  • Log Explorer: search every server event by player, position, time and type โ€” on the website or with /logs in Discord
  • Player dossier: moderation, money, orders, presence, identity and rights of one player in one place
  • Routes, session calendar and "Seen with": where a player went, when they were online, and who they were repeatedly near
  • Player impersonation: see the website exactly as a player sees it
  • Log requests: staff request scoped log exports, and someone else approves them

Learn more about player observability ยท Log Explorer ยท Player details

Dashboard, Audit Trail & Server Diagnosticsโ€‹

Know what is happening on your server, who changed what, and what your game server complains about.

  • Dashboard: active and new players, retention, playtime, busy hours, shop revenue, ticket workload and casino figures
  • Audit trail: every admin change with who did it, to whom, and the value before and after โ€” whether it came from the website, Discord, the API or AI
  • Server diagnostics: the errors DayZ writes about your types.xml, events and spawner files, collected and grouped

Dashboard ยท Audit trail ยท Server diagnostics

Whitelist, Rules & Access Controlโ€‹

Control who can join, what they agree to, and what each player or staff member may do.

  • Whitelist with automatic approval for linked players and their device-linked accounts, and a schedule to switch it on and off
  • dzbot keeps the whitelist, ban list and priority list and syncs them to Nitrado
  • Server rules with a change history; require players to accept them, on the website or with a button in Discord, and give everyone who accepted a Discord role
  • Group-based rights down to single settings, and default groups for new players

Learn more about whitelisting ยท Server rules ยท Access control ยท Groups

Support Ticketsโ€‹

A ticket system built into your website and your Discord โ€” no separate ticket bot needed.

  • Request types with their own intake form, so a report arrives complete instead of as "hi, I have a problem"
  • Players open tickets from a Discord panel, with /ticket or on the website; each ticket gets its own Discord channel, and messages are mirrored both ways
  • Support levels: escalate a ticket to a more senior team, with a Discord category and role per level
  • Staff reply from Discord with /answer and /note, or work the queue on the website with assignees and "needs attention" badges
  • Investigate inside the ticket: search the logs, pin events and evidence files, create a restriction straight from the case
  • Channel names can show a short code instead of the subject, so nobody reads them from the channel list

Learn more about tickets ยท Tickets in the admin panel ยท Tickets for players

Server Website & Communityโ€‹

Every server gets its own website at <your-name>.dzbot.de. Players log in with Discord, claim their in-game account and use everything on this page there.

  • A home page and custom pages in Markdown, for everyone, for logged-in players or for chosen groups
  • Guest pages: rules, kill feed, factions, leaderboard, public player profiles, events, achievements and support can be opened without logging in
  • Players can install the website as an app on their phone, with your app name and colour palette
  • Available in English and German
  • Players' Discord profile pictures next to their names for logged-in visitors โ€” in the account menu, player lists and pages, the killfeed, factions, events, bounties, tickets, the leaderboard and at casino tables, and as the thumbnail of the bot's player cards in Discord; players without Discord keep their initials, guests see no pictures
  • Referrals: players earn currency for every newcomer who joins your Discord through their invite link and claims an account

Custom pages ยท Player onboarding ยท Referrals ยท Settings

Server Automationโ€‹

Stop doing repetitive work by hand. The scheduler runs server tasks on your schedule.

  • Restarts, vehicle wipes (sparing vehicles from spawn subscriptions) and setting changes
  • Install and uninstall mods, change mod configurations, switch actions on and off
  • Your own Lua scripts on a clock, for example a daily reward or announcement
  • Run any action on a clock with its settings โ€” an installed marketplace action such as Group Wage, or your own
  • One-time or recurring (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly); run now, pause or duplicate
  • Discord notifications when a task finishes or fails

Learn more about the scheduler

Scripted Actions & Action Marketplaceโ€‹

Build automations that react to what happens on your server โ€” without waiting for a feature request.

  • Actions run when a game event comes in โ€” a kill, a connection, a base being built โ€” or when something happens in dzbot, such as a bounty, a bet, a support payment, a new review or a subscription that failed to spawn; scheduled actions run at the times a scheduler task sets
  • Install ready-made actions from the marketplace and only fill in their settings
  • Ready-made rewards: a kill reward that can follow the victim's K/D and skip fresh spawns, and a daily, weekly or monthly wage for a dzbot group
  • Ready-made spawn-kill moderation: report every spawn kill to a moderation channel, or ban players who spawn-camp
  • Ready-made Discord feeds for logins, building, PvE deaths, long shots, kill streaks and kills
  • Event filters picked in a form, not written in code: zones (inside or outside), distance, weapon, kill flags, and the faction, dzbot group or player variables of the players involved
  • Discord posts designed with a live preview: title, text, colour and fields to switch on, off and reorder, filled in from the event
  • Write your own in Lua, with functions for balances, Discord messages and roles, bans, player variables, map locations, map images for Discord and calls to outside web services
  • Settings fields let moderators change behavior without touching code
  • Separate rights for settings, marketplace and code

Learn more about actions ยท Action marketplace

Mod Marketplace & Custom Modsโ€‹

Install and configure mods for your server without editing config files by hand. Creators can publish and sell their own.

  • Marketplace with search, prices and install count; only mods that support your map are offered
  • Several configurations per mod, and optional automatic updates
  • Free gameplay mods for base and container damage, unlimited stamina, hitmarker, night lighting and build anywhere โ€” install and uninstall them on a schedule, for example for raid weekends
  • The original files are always kept, so uninstalling restores a clean state
  • Changes are applied through dzbot-managed restarts
  • Custom mods for your own file changes
  • Creator tools: build, version, publish and sell your own mods

Learn more about mods ยท Creator marketplace ยท File changes

AI Companionโ€‹

An AI assistant built into the admin panel and Discord. Describe what you need in plain language: it looks things up across your server data and this documentation, and drafts the changes for you.

  • Summarises tickets, drafts replies, searches the logs and judges a case against your actual rules
  • Works across the platform: players and bans, balances and refunds, factions, events, rules in every language you maintain, settings and accounting
  • Writes and checks the Lua script for an action or a scheduled task
  • In Ask mode every change waits as a card for your approval; in Execute mode it runs right away. Either way, every change is shown
  • Acts with the rights of the person using it; sessions are kept and auditable
  • Open it from any admin page, which it then knows about, or with /ai in a private Discord thread. There is no AI provider or API key to set up

Learn more about the AI Companion ยท Using it ยท Setup

Connect AI Apps (MCP)โ€‹

Work with dzbot from the AI app you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT.

  • Add https://mcp.dzbot.de as a connector in your AI app and log in with Discord
  • Choose read only, or read and write
  • The app gets the same tools as the AI Companion, with exactly your rights
  • Every change shows up in the audit trail under your name, marked via MCP
  • Connect only the toolsets you need, such as tickets or moderation

Learn more about connecting AI apps

Accounting & Monetizationโ€‹

Accept real money from your players and keep your community's books in one place.

  • Players support your server through Stripe, paid out to your own bank account, from a public support page
  • Rewards for supporters run automatically through actions
  • Income and expense ledger with a dashboard, sequential document numbers and invoice PDFs
  • Upload or photograph receipts, and AI drafts the bookings for you to check
  • Record payments that came by PayPal or bank transfer, and keep an inventory of your assets with their book values
  • The month's and year's figures in Discord with /org

Organizations & Multiple Serversโ€‹

Run several servers as one community.

  • One organization holds all of your servers, with an overview of each one's status
  • Players keep one balance across all servers of the organization
  • Several game servers can share one Discord, with each server answering in its own channels
  • Access groups, the audit trail, bans and multi-account cases can span the whole organization
  • One set of books for the organization, with a single document number sequence

Quick Setup & Switching Botsโ€‹

Get going in minutes, and keep what you already have.

  • Sign in with Discord, connect Nitrado, pick your server โ€” a setup wizard walks you through the rest
  • One click creates a set of default Discord channels; a starter shop is optional
  • A second server can start with a one-to-one copy of another server's shop, images included
  • Player list sync starts switched off, so a server can keep another bot managing its ban list and whitelist; the setup wizard asks, and switching it on takes over what is on Nitrado first
  • The guided start asks first how you want to start: dzbot Free (free, forever) or dzbot Pro (14 days free)
  • Only want to be on the server list? dzbot Free connects a server with a short setup and changes neither its files nor its player lists until you switch that on
  • The Nitrado log settings dzbot needs are switched on for you and checked daily; the dashboard tells you if one cannot be
  • Coming from DayZ++: import your linked players and, if you like, their balances

Getting started ยท User migration from DayZ++

Developer APIโ€‹

Build integrations and custom tooling on top of dzbot. The REST API gives external applications authenticated access to your server's data.

  • API key management directly from the admin panel โ€” create, rotate, and revoke keys per server
  • Bearer token authentication via Authorization: Bearer <key> header
  • Access player profiles, balances, orders, factions, and server metadata
  • Fully documented interactive API reference with request/response schemas

Read the API documentation
