Bounties in player view

This page explains how players use the bounty feature in the shop frontend.

What players can do​

Depending on assigned rights, players can:

  • place a bounty on another player or on a whole faction
  • view their own bounty entries and status
  • cancel their own open bounties
  • view open bounties if they have hitman access

Placing a bounty​

Typical flow:

  1. Open Shop -> Bounties.
  2. Choose Player or Faction under Bounty on.
  3. Select the target player, or the target faction (search by its name or tag).
  4. Enter an amount (must meet the server minimum).
  5. Optionally enter a reason.
  6. Optionally switch on Allies and faction mates of the target may collect too (for a faction: Members and allies of the target faction may collect too).
  7. Submit the bounty.

Important behavior:

  • you cannot place a bounty on yourself, nor on a faction you or one of your accounts belong to
  • you cannot place a bounty on a player of a faction allied with yours, or on an allied faction — unless you switch on that allies may collect
  • without that switch, a kill by the target's faction mates or allies pays nothing — see Allies and faction mates
  • the amount is charged from your balance when the bounty is created
  • a bounty on a faction is collected by whoever first kills any of its members — see Bounties on a faction

Open and own bounty lists​

The page usually shows two sections:

  • Open bounties: global open entries (visibility depends on rights). Opening one shows the target's accounts — or, for a faction bounty, the faction's members — with their last known position
  • My bounties: entries created by the current player

In My bounties, players can track status (Open, Completed, Cancelled) and any payout info shown for completed entries.

A search field above the lists filters both by bounty code, target or reason; the search field in the top bar finds bounties by their code too. When placing a bounty, the target field searches every player of the server and the faction field every faction.

Visibility note: bounty target positions shown on map views rely on imported server logs and can appear with delay.

Canceling a bounty​

  • bounty creators can cancel their own open bounties
  • players with broader bounty-control rights can cancel any open bounty
  • canceled bounties are refunded to the creator
