// dzbot creators
Build it once.
Runs on every
dzbot server.
Mods and automations for DayZ that server owners install with one click — on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. You build in the workbench, we take care of getting it onto the servers.
// two ways to build
Mods and actions
Change the world on the server, or react to everything that happens in it — or both.
Mods
Change the game world through the server’s own files.
- types.xml, cfggameplay.json and events — merged into the server’s files instead of overwriting them
- Objects from the DayZ Editor or dzStudio: checkpoints, outposts, gas stations, teleporters placed on the map
- Works on console servers, where classic mods can’t run
Actions
Lua that reacts to everything that happens in the game.
- Kills, logins, base building, raids, bounties, Discord joins
- Post to Discord, send DMs, ban, pay out money, restart the server
- Your settings become a form the server owner fills in
// your tools
In the browser and in the game
// in the browser
Workbench
Files, config fields, versions and the store entry — everything for mods and actions in one place.
- Form preview: exactly what the server owner will fill in
- Versions with a changelog, a store entry in English and German
- Bring in collaborators with an invite link
// in the game · new
dzStudio
A free DayZ editor for PC. Build on the same map together, live.
- Place buildings, paint forests, edit loot points
- Open your creator mods from dzbot in the game and save straight back
- What you build runs on PC and console servers
// how it works
From your desk to every server
01 // build
In the workbench
Mods from server files — types.xml, cfggameplay, objects from the editor — or actions in Lua on real game events like kills, logins and base building.
02 // publish
One version for every map
Publish versions with a changelog and define the settings server owners fill in. If you like, dzbot verifies what your version does.
03 // runs everywhere
One click per server
Every dzbot server installs it with one click — on PlayStation and Xbox too. Free, or for a price you set.
// marketplace
What’s already there
Raid protection, killfeeds, rewards, vehicles, weather — mods and actions from the community, ready for one click.
// monetization
Share for free or sell
Most creators share for free — for their name in the community. If you want to, you set a price.
01 // payouts
Connect Stripe
Set up payouts with Stripe once in the creator space. After that the price field in your store entry unlocks.
02 // one-time purchase
Per organization
A server owner buys your mod once for their whole organization — every server of that organization may install it.
03 // your share
90 % for you
dzbot keeps a fixed 10 %, at least 5 cents, and pays every fee of the payment provider out of it. No subscription, no base fee.

Subscription / base fee
dzbot covers all payment provider fees — nothing else comes off your 90 %. Prices exist for mods; actions are free.
// protection
Your mods are protected
Every mod in the marketplace comes under the dzbot Creator License — with you as the licensor. Before an organization installs or buys one of your mods, it accepts your license, and dzbot keeps the proof.
Server owners may
- Use it on every server of your organization – even after leaving dzbot
- Adapt it for your servers
Without your written consent, never
- Pass on, publish or sell the files
- Use them on servers of others
- Accepted once per organization and license version — who, when, and the exact text
- A breach ends the license for that organization; you may claim damages
- Proof on request through dzbot support
FAQ
Do I need dzbot Pro to build?
No. A free dzbot account is all you need to build, publish and sell. dzbot Pro is for the servers that install what you build.
Does it work on console servers?
Yes. Mods are plain server files — types.xml, cfggameplay.json, object spawner files — that every DayZ server loads, so players install nothing and Xbox and PlayStation servers run them too. Actions run on dzbot, not on the game server.
Can I sell my mods?
Yes. Set up payouts with Stripe in the creator space and the price field unlocks. A server owner buys a mod once for their whole organization. You get 90 %, dzbot keeps a fixed 10 % (at least 5 cents) and covers all payment provider fees from it. Actions are free.
Can a server owner pass my mod on?
No. Your mods come under the dzbot Creator License, with you as the licensor: an organization may use and adapt them on its own servers — also after leaving dzbot — but not pass on, publish or sell the files or use them on servers of others without your written consent. It accepts the license before installing or buying, and dzbot stores who accepted which version and when.
Who sees my mod?
A mod you list in the marketplace can be installed by every dzbot server. Unlisted, it stays private: only the organizations you give access can install it. Organization mods, built for your own servers, never show up in the marketplace.
What does “verified” mean?
dzbot has reviewed what a version of your mod does. You apply in the creator space with a short description and screenshots; once verified, every new version is reviewed by itself. Verification is optional.
Do I need dzStudio?
No. You can build everything in the browser workbench. dzStudio is for building on the map in the game — placing objects, together with others, saved straight into your mod.
