Safe zones for your DayZ console server
On a PlayStation, Xbox or Switch 2 server there is no mod that switches off damage at the trader. What you can do is decide where killing and building is not allowed, notice every violation and react the same way every time. dzbot does that automatically: you draw the zone on the map, choose its rules, and dzbot checks every kill and every build in your server logs against it.
Short answer
With dzbot you draw safe zones of any shape on your server map and give them rules: no kills, no building, or linked accounts only. Every kill or build inside a zone is detected from the server logs and the player is banned automatically, while admins, chosen players and whole groups can be exempted. There is no limit on the number of zones, and it works on every official map including Nasdara.
- Platforms
- PC, PlayStation (PS4/PS5), Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2
- Requires
- A DayZ server hosted by Nitrado and a Discord account
- Price
- 10 EUR per server per month, up to 14 days free trial, no credit card
Setting up a safe zone
- 01Open Zones on your server website and draw the area on the map as a polygon — it can follow the edge of a town instead of being a circle.
- 02Choose the rules: no kills, no building, or linked accounts only.
- 03Add exceptions: single players or whole groups. Exceptions also cover their other accounts on the same console, and admins with the right permission are always ignored.
- 04Switch the zone on. From now on every kill and every build inside it is checked.
The zone rules
- No kills: whoever kills a player inside the zone is banned automatically.
- No building: whoever builds or dismantles base parts inside the zone is banned — keeps trader areas, spawns and roads free.
- Linked accounts only: players without a linked account who show up inside the zone are banned — a way to keep unknown accounts out of an area.
- Zones can be shown on the live map for players, so everyone knows where the borders are.
Warn first, ban later
An instant ban is not right for every server. With an automation you can react step by step instead: a DM on the first kill near the trader, a fine on the second, a temporary ban from the third — dzbot counts the offences per player. For players or factions you already have an eye on, restrictions do the same with ready-made steps: DM, staff channel message, balance penalty or a ban of any length, on every violation, on the Nth or from the Nth on.
Fits the rest of your server
- Events can exempt their participants from chosen zones, so a PvP event can run where PvP is normally banned.
- Every ban lands in the player's moderation history with the reason and position, and can be lifted with a reason.
- Base alarms warn owners and factions when someone comes near their base — wherever it is.
What a console safe zone cannot do
- It cannot stop the shot. dzbot sees the kill in the server log and reacts afterwards, usually 5–15 minutes later, as fast as Nitrado delivers the logs.
- The server has to be hosted by Nitrado.
One price. Everything included. No other bots.
A DayZ server is more than the game server: it is the Discord around it and the bots that run it. dzbot is 10 EUR per server per month, and that gets you every feature — no free tier with limits, no premium tier, no add-ons, no daily caps. Everything below is in that one price.
- Instead of a kill feed bot: kill feed, damage feed, ready-made feeds you design yourself, leaderboards and bounties
- Instead of a trader or economy bot: trader shop with delivery, balances, faction treasuries and casino
- Instead of Ticket Tool or another ticket bot: tickets with forms, support levels and a web inbox
- Instead of a verification and role bot: account linking and roles that follow the game
- Instead of separate admin tools: bans, whitelist, safe zones, alt detection and searchable logs
- Instead of a PayPal link in a Discord channel: player support payments straight to your bank account, with accounting
Frequently asked questions
Can I make a safe zone on a PS5, Xbox or Switch 2 DayZ server?
Yes. You draw the zone on the map in dzbot, and kills or building inside it are detected from the server logs and punished automatically.
How many safe zones can I have?
As many as you need. Zones are part of the one dzbot plan; there is no limit.
Does a safe zone stop players from shooting?
No. On console no bot can block damage. dzbot detects the kill from the logs and bans the player, usually within 5–15 minutes.
Can admins or event participants be allowed to fight in the zone?
Yes. Admins with the right permission are ignored by all zones, you can exempt players and groups per zone, and events can exempt their participants.
Which maps are supported?
Every official map your Nitrado server runs: Chernarus, Livonia, Sakhal and Nasdara.
