Your DayZ server pays for itself

A community DayZ server costs money every month — the Nitrado rent, the bots, the hours. Most owners pay it out of their own pocket, with a PayPal link in a Discord channel that hardly anyone clicks. dzbot builds the payment into your server's own website: players support you in a few clicks, the money goes straight to your bank account, and every payment lands in your books.

Short answer

dzbot lets players support your DayZ server with real money: a support page on your server website with checkout through Stripe in a few clicks, payouts straight to your own bank account, thank-you roles in Discord and built-in accounting for income and expenses — part of every dzbot subscription, no add-on. On our own server, support payments rose 5–10× the month we switched it on.

How it works

  1. 01Open Monetization on your server website, pick your payout country and whether you receive the money as a private person or as a company, and fill in Stripe's secure form right on the page — usually in under five minutes. dzbot never sees your ID or bank details.
  2. 02Write a short introduction for your support page: what players support and how to reach you about questions and refunds.
  3. 03Players open "Support the server" in the shop, choose an amount and pay in Stripe's secure checkout — no account to create, no name to type in.
  4. 04The money reaches your bank account after Stripe's usual holding period of about seven days. Every payment shows up in your accounting with player and amount.

Why players pay more here

Support links fail on friction: a link in a channel, a different website, an account to create, a name to type into a note so the admin knows who it was. On dzbot the player is already signed in on your server website, picks an amount and pays — and you see who it was. On our own server, support payments multiplied five to ten times in the month after we switched the support page on.

Most DayZ bots have nothing like this. In Law's KillFeed and DayZ-RSS the economy runs on in-game currency only; real money flows from the owner to the bot, never from players to the owner.

Thank supporters automatically

  • Give supporters a Discord role for a set time after each payment — every new payment extends it.
  • Post a thank-you in a channel, or send the player a DM.
  • Players see their own payment history on the support page.
  • Payments by PayPal or bank transfer can be recorded by hand and trigger the same thank-yous.

Costs and conditions

  • dzbot keeps 5% of each payment; Stripe charges its processing fee (about 1.4% + €0.25 for most EU cards). Both come off your payout — players pay exactly the amount they choose.
  • Payments start at €10; you set the maximum per payment (€250 by default).
  • Connecting a payment account needs a paid dzbot subscription; it is not available during the free trial.
  • Stripe reviews every account. dzbot answers the questions about the app for you and gives the reviewer a guest login to your server.

And when your server earns more

Then you can even save yourself the accounting software. dzbot ships with built-in accounting: every payment, your Nitrado rent and every other expense, invoices, receipts and an asset register in one place, built to the German GoBD bookkeeping rules.

Built-in accounting for your server

One price. Everything included. No other bots.

A DayZ server is more than the game server: it is the Discord around it and the bots that run it. dzbot is 10 EUR per server per month, and that gets you every feature — no free tier with limits, no premium tier, no add-ons, no daily caps. Everything below is in that one price.

  • Instead of a kill feed bot: kill feed, damage feed, ready-made feeds you design yourself, leaderboards and bounties
  • Instead of a trader or economy bot: trader shop with delivery, balances, faction treasuries and casino
  • Instead of Ticket Tool or another ticket bot: tickets with forms, support levels and a web inbox
  • Instead of a verification and role bot: account linking and roles that follow the game
  • Instead of separate admin tools: bans, whitelist, safe zones, alt detection and searchable logs
  • Instead of a PayPal link in a Discord channel: player support payments straight to your bank account, with accounting

Frequently asked questions

Can I earn money with my DayZ server?

You can let players support it. dzbot adds a support page with checkout in a few clicks to your server website and pays the money out to your own bank account, so the server can cover its own costs.

How do I get paid?

Through Stripe, straight to your bank account, usually about seven days after the payment. dzbot never holds your money.

Is monetization an add-on?

No. It is part of every dzbot subscription — 10 EUR per server per month with every feature included.

Does it work for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch 2 servers?

Yes. Payments run on your server website, so the platform does not matter — PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC servers on Nitrado all work the same.

Do I need a company?

No. You can connect as a private person or sole trader, or as a registered company.

* Arithmetic mean: all support payments processed through dzbot (Stripe) from July to September 2026, gross before fees, per month and divided by the number of servers with a paid dzbot subscription (as of October 2026). Earnings are spread very unevenly — so far most of them come from our own server, DayZ Deutschland, and many servers take in much less or nothing. Past figures are no promise of future earnings; what your server takes in depends on your community.
