Privacy Policy
Data protection and cookie policy.
1. Overview
At dzbot, we take the privacy and protection of your personal data seriously. This page explains how we handle your data, including our use of cookies, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
2. Use of Cookies
We do not use any non-essential cookies on this website. Our website may use technical cookies that are necessary for the basic functionality and security of the site. These cookies do not collect or store personal information about you and are used solely for operational purposes, such as ensuring the site loads correctly or allowing you to navigate between pages.
Because we do not use cookies that track personal information or provide marketing and analytics services, we do not display a cookie consent banner.
When you sign in to the dzbot platform, we additionally set one strictly security-purposed first-party cookie (dz_did, a random device identifier) used only for abuse and multi-account prevention as described in Section 5.
3. Web Analytics and Performance Monitoring
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Monitoring (RUM), provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA), to understand how our website performs and is used. This helps us improve page load times, reliability, and overall user experience.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-friendly and does not use cookies for analytics purposes. It does not build advertising profiles or perform cross-site user tracking. We only receive aggregated, data-minimized analytics reports — we do not have access to individual user profiles or personally identifiable browsing data.
Technical request data, including IP addresses, may be processed by Cloudflare as part of delivering its analytics, security, and performance services. Cloudflare acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. For details on how Cloudflare handles this data, please refer to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: improving website performance, identifying technical issues, and ensuring the security and reliability of our site.
If you wish to object to processing based on legitimate interest, you may contact us using the details provided in Section 5.
4. Personal Data Collection
We do not collect personal data from visitors to this website unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., by contacting us). In such cases, the data provided will only be used to respond to your inquiries and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
This section concerns visitors to this marketing website. Personal data we process when you are signed in to the dzbot platform is described in Section 5 below.
5. Abuse Prevention and Multi-Account Detection (Signed-in Platform)
When you sign in to the dzbot platform (the companion and web portal, as opposed to this marketing website), we process a limited set of technical identifiers to detect and prevent abuse — in particular the operation of multiple accounts by the same person and the circumvention of bans or other enforcement actions. Specifically, we process:
- your IP address; and
- a randomly generated device identifier stored in a first-party cookie (
dz_did).
We link these signals to your dzbot account and store each distinct value together with when it was first and last seen. Access is restricted to the platform operator, and the data is used solely for security and abuse prevention — never for advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking.
The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in protecting the integrity and security of the platform and preventing fraudulent or abusive use.
Retention: IP addresses are deleted within 14 days of their last occurrence; device identifiers are deleted within 90 days of their last occurrence.
You may object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR using the contact details in Section 6. Where we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for abuse prevention, we may continue to process the data to the extent necessary.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we may hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict the processing of your data, if applicable.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@dzbot.de.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or our operations. Any updates will be posted on this page.
If you have any questions or concerns about our data protection practices, please feel free to contact us at info@dzbot.de.
